Description
Very close to the city of Marrakech, we find the imposing mountain range of the Western High Atlas, where the highest mountain in North Africa, Jbel Toubkal, rises. It is worth noting that this mountain range presents two well-differentiated landscapes throughout the year: arid and dry during the summer months and early autumn, contrasting with the snow cover that can occupy, from two thousand meters, during the winter and much of the spring. An aspect that conditions the necessary equipment to face the ascent to Toubkal.
The hike begins in the village of Imlil, passing through the sacred village of Sidi Chamharouch, dinners and nights in the Neltner camp or refuge at 3,200m high, ascent and descent towards Imlil along the same path. An unforgettable and different journey from the classic Morocco.
